![]() ![]() I believe these bikes were really overbuilt and are as reliable as a 350cc can be. is is possible to get new pistons? The Morini pistons hellishly expencive! ![]() I am also interested if the engines from V50 and V65 fit on the v35 transmission and frame.Īre parts still avaliable? I read somewhere they use the Heron heads like the Morinis. If it worth changing them with the points? The V35 II I had had the motoplat diode plate and points, so I suspect the points there worked like a pickup, and the ignition was transistorised? I know they can be really troublesome if they were ever used with an empty battery. It was updated later to a 750 but as per the custom series there is little in the way of major differences to the standard models. The TT was lighter with little in the way of fairings but the NTX came virtually fully faired with a fuel capacity of over 30 litres. ![]() Are gearboxes durable? Should any bearings need to be replaced at about 50000km? Do I need to change the valves? Did the first series have any problems? The bike has the Bosch ignition like the Ducatis. Both the V35 and V65 came as a TT or NTX road trail machine. Are the shaft drives (and the splines) in oil? I know later BMW's had huge spline failoures. So I am asking you what problems should I look for on the bike. I decided I would like to use it for a daily ride. It seems to be in a really good condition. The one I currently own, however, doesn't. It had really loud noises from the transmission or maybe the rear drive. I have previously owned a series two V35 with 97000km, and although the engine ran great, I rather sold it. I adjusted the valves and synched the carbs and it runs great. I think I made a great bargain and got it for 300. I recently bought a 47000km working V35 of the first series (i think the first year as well) with documents in Italy. ![]()
